Hello! My name is Peggy, and I’m from New Jersey. I hope to work in the eSports industry one day as either a videographer / video content-related position or as a journalist.
As of now, I’m a journalist and video editor for Winston’s Lab. I cover tournaments, breaking news and various esports events. I’ve also created highlights and interviewed players, content creators and management of professional esports organizations for GosuGamers’ Overwatch section. You can see some of my work for eSports on my “Clips / Written Work” page and on my “eSports Production” page.
I’m currently employed full time as the Video Production Specialist for Apollo Video. This involves me creating promotional/marketing content for EDP and its sister companies, organizing and managing a 10-13 person crew for the filming of tournament games for kids aged 15-19 for college recruitment purposes and organizing and managing a five-person team to edit soccer highlights for the same demographic. I also film marketing material for EDP Soccer, Apollo Video’s parent company.
Apollo Video is part of EDP, a premier East Coast soccer league based in Central Jersey. EDP caters to top-notch high school players who want to play college or professional soccer. I went from an entry-level position of a technical assistant and videographer (freelance) to the head of the video department in under a year.
My skills include editing both photos and video on Premiere Pro (CC, CS6 and above), Final Cut (7 and X). I’m experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and I’ve worked with Avid Media Composer.
As for cameras and broadcast hardware, I own a Canon Rebel T5 and a Sony HXRT-NX100, but I’ve also used various other Canon models as well as other brands, like Nikons and Samsung. As the former Technical Manager of the Rowan Television Network, I’m highly skilled in Panasonic ENGs like the HPX170, HPX370, HPX500 and HVX200. I’m also adept in the Tricaster 455 and Portacom systems.
My journalism experience involves GosuGamers and Winston’s Lab, where I work as a freelance journalist. Be it covering events or covering a new patch, I’ve done it all with these two organizations. I’ve also interviewed players and managers about their respective events/teams.
My college experience is writing for The Whit, Rowan’s school newspaper. My “Crime Times” column was about crime dramas and the television industry. I also was the Copy Editor for the Arts & Entertainment section of The Whit, making sure that all articles in the section were fact-checked and grammatically correct. This position included making decisions on wether or not pieces should be published or not.
I’m interested in freelance and full-time positions at this time.
